Sun block, sunglasses  and hat are essentials if  you have a sensitive skin. Suntan lotion and insect repellent, etc. are available on the Island, but at a cost. Advisable to bring sarongs which are useful for the beach.

Visitors need to be aware that travelers cheques CANNOT be exchanged on the Island and  that a number of resorts do NOT accept credit cards. So bring sufficient amount of cash

Keep mosquitoes away by closing all windows / doors at dusk and using additional repellents.

Although it can be bought at a number of resorts on the Island, some prefer it not to be consumed in the dinning areas.
